I’m hoping as those start to release, I can go back replace some of the screencaps with cleaner ones. I’ve been largely keeping up with the new Viz subbed release, mostly just to spot check the translation and also to get a preview of what I can look forward to on the remastered blu-rays.

We’re also looking forward to a new, actual, non-shitty dub. The new anime has started running and Viz picked up the license to the old series and the new one. It’s a bit of a strange new world since the last time I released one of these. I can’t really promise a regular schedule for these, but given that Viz is running two newly subbed episodes per week and Crystal is in full swing, I’d like to try and keep plowing ahead with these capsule reviews at a more regular pace since the show is actually relevant again. While I far prefer being employed and doing what I love for a living, it has meant projects like this that I did for fun have fallen to the wayside. When I started this blog, I was actually between jobs and had all day to spend watching anime and cartoons and thinking them through with the level of detail I wanted. I apologize for the gaps in the updates (again) – I had a huge project launch go off in the last few months and with that, my time is stabilizing, but it was a massive undertaking leading up to it. Also, despite this containing so many important episodes, this update also contains some of the more memorable comedic episodes of the first series. Well, sort of, but I’ll complain about the quality of the filler next update. Every outstanding plot thread comes to a head in the next five episodes, changing the direction of the final 10 episodes that form the first series. Well, after last update was mostly filler, this update covers a lot of important episodes that are, technically, game changers for the rest of the season. Hello and welcome to the seventh set of capsule reviews, that I have definitely finished! On time! Boy, isn’t it great that it’s still 2012!? And as another villain has his swan song, the seeds are sown for the final foes from the Dark Kingdom’s depths… And among the chaos, appears the final Sailor Senshi, the Silver Crystal, and that Moon Princess that absolutely nobody ever figured out the identity of.

In this update that was definitely written in 2012 and on time, everything gets more complicated as the Senshi hunt for one last rainbow crystal, Luna fends off a feline admirer and Zoisite uses the deadly powers of Super Sentai, cosplay, and stabbing a guy to gain the crystals lost to his foes.
